Individual therapy offers a private space to express yourself and receive the care and support you deserve. Together, we can explore what brought you to therapy, delve deep into your needs and wants, and find out how we can best get you closer to reaching those goals. When we explore our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and actions in a private, secure setting, this safe space will encourage self-awareness and positive growth.
Confidential Safe Space:

My priority is your confidentiality and cultivating a space in which you feel safe expressing yourself and exploring your concerns.

Emotional Processing:

I hold a safe and validating space for you to work through the hard and painful emotions that brought you to my virtual room. Clients are encouraged to share as much or as little as they are able to at any one moment. My presence is never invasive or pushy. I always follow my clients where they are at in the moment.

Emotional Support:

The therapeutic relationship is built on emotional support. Empathy, the human process of understanding another’s pain, is at the core of this relationship. Empathy and validation remove the sense of isolation in your struggles.

Insight:

When one is provided with the space in which they feel free to discuss and explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a nonjudgmental, caring space, this cultivates deeper insight into the self and experiences.

Coping Strategies:

Together, we will develop unique coping strategies to help manage the impact of stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges.

Behavioural Shift:

When an individual’s goals and behaviours are aligned, growth ensues. Using cognitive behavioral techniques, we will align your values and behaviours with your goals.

Connection:

By integrating compassion-focused therapy, we can explore human needs and reactions to our unique relationships. This insight can enhance our understanding of the meaning of and need for human connection. We can learn to cultivate and maintain healthy human relationships with this insight.
